SO, what's to come?
I have learned a great deal in these past months of my freelancing journey and the plan is to just keep going !
A few things I have learned
1. Develop a routine.
At first, I slipped into the idea of ultimate freedom with my time. I was waking up at 11am and working for maybe 3 hours a day, however I didn't see myself making much progress. I developed a routine and have been holding myself accountable.
2.Create a savings
Freelance work isn't always consistent. Developing a saving when times get hard helps you to stress less.
3.Dont be afraid to ask for help
Starting your own business is tough work! In my mind, I thought I would quit my job and clients would flow in (n0t at all). I've really learned that it is ok to accept help. People who love you want to see you win !
4.Take the odd jobs, bills don't stop.
The dream is to create things that matter to me all the time. However, Im just not there yet and that is ok! I take jobs that I don't feel fully passionate about and it doesn't make me any less of an artist. It's a good opportunity to practice your skills and also learn how to navigate the world of working with clients.
5.Don't compare your journey to others
And lastly, THIS. I would be lying if I said I don't do this but I have to keep reminding myself, my journey is not the same as others. What is meant to be yours will always belong to you.
For now, the plan is to keep trying. Keep making pitches and manifesting new opportunities. I hope to share more good news with you all soon, be sure to follow along.
